The Castle of Methoni lies at the southernmost tip of the west Peloponnisian coast. 

A beautiful coastal city at the western tip of Peloponnese which is mainly famous for this castle. In antiquity a city existed in the same place and is identified with the Honeric city of  Pidasos, know as 'Ampeloessa' due to its vines and well know wines.

Opposite Methoni there is the cluster of the Messinian Inousses that includes the islets of Sapienza, Schiza, with a beatiful little church of  the same name.
