Area known by the Caves of Dirou, Glyfada or Vlyhada,Alepotrypa
and Katafygi, are situated south of Aeropolis. Here have been found human
bones and fossils from the modern stone age, while in the cave of
“Foxhole” were found guns, stone and bone tools, vases human
skeletons and sketches on the walls from the prehistorically
age.
Here is the only museun of its kind in Greece. Articles
on display give insight into the way of life, customs related to
daily living and ceremonialaccasions and the quest for artistic
expression of the people who lived here towards the end of the
Neolithic age (approx.4800 BC-3200 BC)
