Here is one of the most important castles of Pelloponnese during the Middle Ages. It was build in the middle of the 13^th century a.C. probable from the Goulielm Billeardoin and during the 14^th and 15^th century reached the highest point of her peak as an administrative, political and judiciary center of the Prigipato. During the prevail of the Henets the castle was more important than the castle of Kalamata.

The shape of the castle looks like a table, while the outside walls are supported by towers of different kind of shapes and in the inside are formed arched corners.
